The Lindisfarne Hotel on Holy Island

Holy Island is accessed from the mainland via a tidal causeway which floods daily, cutting the island off. Lindisfarne is an area of outstanding natural beauty and is steeped in religious and cultural heritage.

Lindisfarne has been a centre for Christianity since AD635 and there are many religious sites to visit such as "The Church of St. Mary", "St. Aidan's Church", "The St. Cuthbert's Centre", "The Lindisfarne Priory and Castle" and of course St. Aidan's Winery, home of Lindisfarne Mead.

If walking is your forte there are miles of unspoilt coastline with secret beaches to the north, for more local info please click here!
